Goal: Creating a modern grand home for entertaining and living within a historicist shell.

This was a build out of a never realized penthouse space and was configured in two wings to separate public from private family spaces.  The public areas are grand and built for entertaining in today's fashion. The kitchen flows graciously to adjoining rooms; the library invites all to relax. Stately refined details and finishes are modern updates on traditional glamour; the lighting selections were similarly grand yet streamlined and were key to striking the right note between European elegance and modern luxury; the furnishings complete the picture with clean strong silhouettes.
