Goal: Modernized Mexican vibe with drama and fun.

This project was a collaboration with a local design build firm  to redesign a vacation home, within an existing foundation, to read more modern but contextual. Plans, elevations and details  were simplified to create a dramatic entrance and great room within a modern envelope. The clients' love of mystery and precision is evidenced in the indoor-outdoor flow, the framed views, the exacting detailing.  Soothing indigenous materials were selected as the basis; modern details of metal handrails, panelized wood walls, folding pivoting doors, streamlined fireplaces and tvs were carefully inserted.
